The follicle stimulating hormone receptor (RFSH) belongs to the G protein coupled receptor superfamily (GPCR). These receptors use multiple signal transduction mechanisms (G proteins, β-arrestins), and exist in several conformations, active or inactive, stabilized differentially depending on the agonists binding to them (pharmacological bias). A new class of pharmacological tools, Camelid Antibody Fragments (VHH), would modulate and understand the signaling role of the FSH receptor within the hypotalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis. My work consists of the in vitro and in vivo pharmacological characterization of VHH directed against RFSH or against FSH, alone or in antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) format, or modified to improve their pharmacokinetic properties.
