Team SENSOR : Energy sensor and Reproductive Signaling

The SENSOR team is interested in the role of energy metabolism and its disturbances on the activity of the ovary and the testicle. Our objective is to be able to provide information to preserve a certain fertility of agronomic animals but also information applicable to the human species.

Our "SENSOR" team will focus its research on:

Projet -objectif2

1- the link that exists between the energetic reservoir that is adipose tissue, and the activity of the gonad, in particular through the influence of various environmental factors (nutrition, endocrine disruptors, molecules stimulating obesity ...)

2- the role that can have energy detectors (AMPK, mTOR, PPAR) that are, like the needle of the gas gauge in the cell. These proteins belong to the signaling networks of adipocytokines within the gonad.

3- the development of innovative approaches combining molecules of plant origin that can regulate both the adipose tissue and the gonadotropic axis.

The work of our team combines both basic research and applied research. Indeed, several research programs have been co-built with the field actors, whose objective is to provide practical solutions in breeding.
